My daughter had picked out one of latest dolls to add to her collection, just as I was about to pay for it, she noticed the Monster High series of dolls. Before it was over, she had dumped her original choice on the floor and was asking my opinion on which Monster High doll to get. We settled on the set of 4, which includes Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Lagoona Blue, Clawdeen Wolf Dolls, now at Amazon. My daughter’s thrilled with her purchase and there seems to be a huge audience out there for these Monster High dolls and accessories.

The Monster High dolls deserve a10 out of 10 for fun factor. These dolls are great for everyone, doll people, monster people, kids and adults alike. The dolls are cute, fabulously fashionable and I think a pretty good idea given all the girly interest in vampires and werewolves nowadays.

The dolls come in super cool packaging and are larger than the Bratz dolls, standing at 10 ½ inches tall. The dolls are very slim looking, however I discovered the clothing from Bratz dolls will fit the Monster High ghouls. It seems the hands and the forearms pop out at the elbow for really easy redressing, if you have very small children around, pick up one of the scarily delightful plush versions instead. Each come with their favorite outfit and a scary cool pet and are very soft and super cuddly. Find them at Amazon and check out the range of accessories.

Lets meet the characters. There’s Deuce Gorgon with his super cool snakehawk and sunglasses to keep from turning his friends to stone. He comes with his double tailed pet rat named Perseus and he’s the son of Medusa.

His girlfriend is Cleo de Nile, daughter of The Mummy and an Egyptian Princess. She is the mean girl at Monster High and captain of the fearleading squad. She comes with a purse and her pet Cobra named Hisette.

Then there’s: Frankie Stein, daughter of Frankenstein and his bride. She’s only 15 days old and comes with her pet Watzit, which is made from several animals. Draculaura, daughter of Count Dracula, she is a vegetarian and comes with her pet bat named Count Fabulous. Clawdeen Wolf, daughter of The Wolfman and who comes with a purse and her kitten Crescent. Then to round out the bunch, there is Lagoona Blue, daughter of The Sea Monster and friend to everyone. She’s the surfer girl and comes with her pet Neptuna.

The Monster High dolls are part of Mattel’s new franchise targeting tweens and teenagers. About the join the successful animated series with be a live action feature film. Universal pictures have just acquired the rights to produce the movie. Can’t wait for the invasion to begin. More at Amazon
